What video card do I need to play games like Mass Effect 2 on a good setting?
I stopped playing PC games past few years and I recently bought a new system. The system is great, but the only thing missing is a great video card. The stock card it came with an ATI Radeon HD 3200, and it just does not play modern games. Which card should I buy (decent price) for playing modern games like Mass Effect 2, and in future Star Wars: The Old Republic, the right setting? In good set that I mean middle-high quality.
if the main question is how much you would pay anyway, Nividia Series: GTX 250 is very nice and it efficient.based on memory.but GDDR3 always very pleasant. if you can wait a little longer there will be new Nividia a series based on GDDR5 Memories (GTX400 series) and also new technology, wait a bit longer. ATI Radeon series: HD 5750 and HD 5770 are nice either, and 5770 is better than 4870, they have the same performance, but news 5000 series to create less heat and the series ATI create more heat compared to Nividia Series_just notice_.
