I'm downgrading from Windows Vista to Windows XP because I dont have the hardware to support it. -Help?

I'm downgrading from Windows Vista to Windows XP. When I went to install windows xp professional sp3 it said that something wasnt compatible or something like that. -am i doing anything wrong? What do I need to do to in order for it to install?

(And yes, I really do want to downgrade because my computer doesn't have the hardware to support Windows Vista!)

Downgrading a computer is not that simple. You were probably told that the setup on the XP disk wasn't compatible with the current O/S.

You have to boot from your XP CD and then install a fresh copy. Note that it will go into a new folder and you will also have to reinstall any other software you want to use.

MS O/S do not support backward conversions at all.
