Power Lead
is it illegal to run a power extention lead across a road (public highway)?
I normally run a PA system for my school on the field during sports day and to get power, i have to run 2 x 50m extention leads across a single track road onto the field, is this illegal to do this . I dont do anything to the cable just lay it down, not many cars use the road but im still not sure whether we should be doing this or not.....
Advice please..
It is proberly not the best thing to do. If a car does run over it, and the cord becomes entangled and causes a fatal accident, you could be charged with manslaughter. Moreover, the cord did become entangled, it would rip most of the equipment out causing financial loss for the school.
